What kind of week would it be if there were no A.J. Brown controversy?
Brown has had a troubling 2025 season. He only has 31 receptions for 408 yards, along with three touchdowns. On Monday night in Green Bay, Brown had just two receptions on three targets for 13 yards, the longest being for just seven.
We know his displeasure has been made public, but it was heightened on Tuesday night.
Brown joined JankyRondo’s Twitch stream. While the two played Madden, JankyRondo asked Brown, “Everything good?”
“No. Where have you been,” Brown responded. “Family’s good. Everything else? No.. It’s a s***-show.. You on some ‘How you been?’ Struggling brother.”
Brown is the perfect example of a “diva wide receiver,” which is not necessarily a bad thing. Receivers are very competitive, and Brown’s No. 1 incentive out on the field to dominate his individual matchup. He is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. He is not being utilized as one in 2025, which is frustrating for everyone.

“If you got me on fantasy, get rid of me,” Brown said later on.
The two faced off in Madden, and Brown played as the Eagles. Brown threw himself a 56-yard completion, getting his team up to the four-yard line. When the pass was completed, Brown stated, “Let’s show him [Brown] some love. Good things happen when you [Brown] get touches.”
One play later, Brown utilized himself to score a touchdown. “This the only positive I got,” he said.
Once the game commenced, Brown showed his son that he recorded nine catches, 168 yards, and two touchdowns with himself in the game.
“This the only highlights of damn football I’m living right now,” he said while laughing to his son.
So, not the most encouraging developments, obviously.

Nick Sirianni was asked about this whole dilemma on Wednesday afternoon.
“No, I don’t think so,” Sirianni said when asked if Brown is becoming a distraction with his off-the-field comments. “You can only go off of your interactions and how they go about their work on a daily basis which you guys aren’t able to see. No, it’s business as usual.”
This does not seem so unusual to anyone. Brown is publicly calling the Eagles’ offense a “s*** show.” Is that normal?
Brown was also reportedly involved in the Eagles’ play call on fourth-and-six with 33 seconds to go in Green Bay. The ball was on the Packers’ 35-yard line, and Philadelphia was up three. For some reason, the Eagles ran a play. And they went for a kill shot, where Jalen Hurts underhrew Brown to the deep left corner of the end zone. It was terrible, and it gave the Packers 27 seconds to get 20 yards and attempt a field goal, which they of course botched.
“I knew exactly what the play was that we were calling and that was run in that moment,” Sirianni repeated a few times on Wednesday.
It was just Brown’s third target of the game.
“Again, if you look at the game and how the game went, there’s a lot of plays in that game that are going to [Brown] that for different reasons don’t,” Sirianni said. “For instance, [DeVonta Smith‘s] touchdown. That play is going to A.J. They took it away and he threw it over the top. You can’t look at stats and just say this is what’s happening. You can’t paint the picture that way. I know that is sometimes all the information that you guys may have but you can’t look at it that way and say, ‘Here’s how the game is playing out.’ There are reasons and different things. A.J. Brown is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL so of course we’re trying to get him involved in the game every single time. Sometimes it goes like it did in the Rams game or the Vikings game and sometimes it goes like it did in that game.”
And then, finally, Sirianni had had enough.
“Guys I’m close to being done answering these questions about [Brown]. He’s working hard and he is a big part of the gameplan, and will be going forward. He’s working like crazy when he’s here and we’re excited to have him.”
