A.J. Brown downgraded to out with hamstring injury vs. Falcons

The Eagles will be missing a major piece of their offense against the Falcons on Monday night.
The Eagles announced Sunday that A.J. Brown has been downgraded to out with a hamstring injury for Monday night.
So, no Christian McCaffrey situation like last week on Monday night like some thought we would have had.
Brown suffered the injury during practice on Friday and did not practice on Saturday. He was listed as questionable on the final report and then was downgraded to out on Sunday prior to the 1:00 slate of games.
Rookie wide receiver Johnny Wilson was also questionable and did not get downgraded, so he may be good to go.
Jalen Hurts and the Eagles still have a ton of talent on offense. Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert will need to step up in Brown’s absence. And Jahan Dotson will come in as WR2. Dotson only got one target last week in Brazil, so not sure how much trust Hurts has in him. Dotson’s talent is there, though.
The hope is to have Brown back by Week 3 in New Orleans. It could be smart to not play Brown if it ends up helping his hamstring.
