Phillies unveiling City Connect uniforms Friday

The Phillies are one of 10 teams that do not have City Connect uniforms. That is changing officially this week.

The team will unveil their new 2024 Nike MLB City Connect jersey on Friday. The announcement will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the New Era Phillies Team Store at Citizens Bank Park which will be the only place for fans to purchase the jersey along with more City Connect merchandise during the initial launch.

This will also include a block party from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Citizens Bank Way with appearances from Shane Victorino, Mickey Morandini, Milt Thompson, Larry Anderson, the Phillie Phanatic, and the Phillies Ballgirls. Fans will have photo opportunities with the 2008 World Series and 2022 National League Championship trophies. There will also be food trucks, a speed pitch, Phillies DJs, and a live broadcast from 94.1 WIP from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

A week after the initial reveal, the Phillies will wear the new City Connect uniforms for the first time on Friday, April 12, against the Pittsburgh Pirates. After the game, DJ Jazzy Jeff will host a postgame party. The Phils will sport the new uniforms every Friday home game during the 2024 season.

The Phils will be the first to unveil their new uniforms this season.

Will the leaked jersey we saw on an eBay listing be true?

They are supposed to match the color scheme of the Philadelphia flag.

If this is the real jersey, there is going to be a lot of negative feedback. And personally, I am right on board with it.
