The Phillies are finally getting City Connect uniforms this season along with the New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, and Toronto Blue Jays, and there have been multiple speculations about how they may look.

Multiple reports suggested the design would be influenced by the Philadelphia flag’s baby blue and gold colors. The Phillies have not officially announced a release date for the new uniforms or communicated literally anything regarding the design.

However, it looks like we may have come across an unofficial leak. A post on X shared an eBay listing of what might be the Phillies’ City Connect jersey. While nothing has been confirmed, it is worth dissecting.

The colorway matches the initial report, the league and brand logos look legitimate, and the packaging and tags align with Nike, but none is confirmed.

I am not a fan of these at all. I hate the script, the dark blue gradient, and whatever the heck the patch is on the sleeve. What will make these worse is I bet the Phillies wear navy or black pants with them, making it look horrid. They may look better in white pants and a good enough-looking hat.

These jerseys give me two vibes.

  1. If the Union made baseball jerseys they would probably look something like this. Kind of gives me youth vibes.
  2. If the Milwaukee Brewers City Connects and Seattle Mariners City Connects had a baby, this is what we would get.

Again, none of this is confirmed, but this looks like the real deal, and it stinks.
