The Sixers lost 112-107 against Brooklyn on Tuesday Night in an unfortunate loss by Philadelphia. It was a winnable game that slipped away at the end.

The Sixers were without Tyrese Maxey, who was diagnosed with a mild concussion. He traveled back to Philadelphia for testing.

Kelly Oubre had a career night with 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists off the bench, but it was not enough.

For most of the game, Brooklyn and Philadelphia were within points of each other, but the Nets pulled away in the final minutes. The Sixers led 92-84 after Oubre’s 3-pointer with 8:45 remaining, but the Nets scored the next 11 points to steal it.

The Sixers allowed 5 Nets players to get at least 15 points, which is unacceptable if you want to win games. The defense wasn’t terrible, but allowed multiple players to reach this amount of points is a recipe for disaster.

In the future, the Sixers are going to need to have a complete defensive game in order to take down the opponent.
