Phillies release greatest hat in franchise history

The Phillies have never really gone out of the box with their caps. It has always been a shade of red with a curly P.

While iconic and looks great, it was time to go a little out of the box. And that is what they did with their batting practice hat for 2024.

Oh. My. God.

It is beautiful.

We have been waiting for this forever, and we finally have it. The Phillie Phanatic has made his way into the Phillies’ uniform.

While it may just be for batting practice, this is the best hat in franchise history. The Phillies really should have used this for their City Connects, but they went with an utter disaster of a design instead.

You would have to think that maybe the biggest Phillie Phanatic fan, Bryce Harper, had some sort of say on this design.

It is also the first since I can remember where the Spring Training hats for all 30 MLB teams are different than the batting practice hats. That is just called “greed” by New Era and the MLB. But welcome to 2024. I genuinely like all of the BP hats this season, they are different and out of the box.

These caps have not officially gone on sale, so we do not know the price or styles of the hat featuring the greatest mascot in sports. But I am sure it will go quickly.
