On the day of the NHL Free Agency signing, the Philadelphia Flyers made two interesting moves in getting Nic Deslauriers for 4 years, $1.9M who is a fourth liner, and defenseman, Justin Braun, who is back with the Flyers, for now, and agreed to a one year deal worth $1M.
Deslauriers played for the Minnesota Wild and the Anaheim Ducks and now he is with the Flyers. He is ranked 344th in goals, 607th in assists, and 7th in penalty minutes. Deslauriers had eight goals, five assists, and 123 penalty minutes in eighty-one combined games. He has been in the league for eight years and was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in 2009.
Flyers fans seem to be very happy with bringing back Justin Braun. Braun will bring continued strength to the defensive side of things. It’ll be interesting to see how long Braun stays because if the Flyers don’t do well, teams could be on Bruan’s radar very quickly. Braun seems to have a brilliant mindset as he played for the New York Rangers who took a great step in the right direction with talent. Hopefully, with the addition of his presence, it will be nice to see.
