BG is officially calling it a career.

After 15 seasons all spent in Philadelphia, Eagles edge rusher Brandon Graham has officially announced his retirement. Graham walks away as the Eagles’ all-time leader in games played and a two-time Super Bowl champion.

It was quite the run for Graham who remained an Eagle for his entire career, appearing in 206 regular-season games. He became the first player to play in over 200 games as an Eagle, and the first to play in 15 seasons.

During his time in Philly, Graham was a one-time Pro Bowler and a one-time second-team All-Pro. He finishes with 76.5 sacks and 359 solo tackles which ranks him third and fifth in Eagles history respectively. He also forced 22 fumbles and recovered seven of them.

Graham is also responsible for the most notable strip-sack fumble in the Eagles’ history. In Super Bowl LII against the New England Patriots, Graham sacked quarterback Tom Brady late in the fourth quarter giving the Eagles the ball back up five. The Eagles were able to kick a field goal to go up eight and withheld the Patriots from responding, giving the Eagles their first-ever Super Bowl victory.

This time last year, Graham announced he’d return to the Eagles for one final season. He unfortunately tore his triceps in the Eagles Week 12 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. Graham was announced out for the season, however, as the Eagles playoff run began, Graham teased a possibility of suiting up for the Eagles if they made it to Super Bowl LIX.

Philadelphia did just that and Graham was able to suit up for one final game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Graham recorded just one tackle in the game but along with the dominant performance from the rest of the team, the Eagles were victorious over the Chiefs 40-22, giving Graham his second Super Bowl victory.

Graham will go down as one of the Eagles’ all-time greats. A captain for over eight years, Graham was the heart and soul of the Eagles during his 15-year career and set the culture for the franchise for years to come. As he moves into retirement, the next goal for Graham is to see if his name gets for the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton.
