The Sixers have continued their skid with a loss to the Heat 106-89. A strong start was blown up in the 2nd half by an underwhelming offensive showing.

The Sixers are now 2-11 and are the worst team in basketball.

Joel Embiid was just simply not himself against Miami, with only 11 points, 8 boards, and 5 assists in 31 minutes. He was coming off of a sickness, but his inability to make an impact was evident, and Miami took advantage.

Embiid didn’t attempt a single free throw.

This is the first time Embiid has played over 25 minutes and not attempted a free throw in his entire career.

The team is starting to turn into Jared McCain‘s for the taking.

McCain had 20 points on 50% shooting. This is his 5th straight 20-point game.

The Philadelphia 76ers have a problem on their hands. They can’t win with Paul George or Joel Embiid, let alone together. If this continues for the foreseeable future, a rebuild for the Sixers may be looming in the off-season. It’s too early to say for sure, but changes definitely need to be made.
