Eagles Look to the Trenches, Add Michigan Guard Trevor Keegan

Everyone welcome your newest member to Jeff Stoutland’s O-line crew. The reigning national champion helps bring even more size to the line, clocking in at 6’ 5’’ 310 pounds.
The thing scouts love about Trevor Keegan is that he does not stop going until he hears a whistle. He’s constantly looking for extra defenders to go at. His explosive power in the trenches can help open up huge holes that any half-decent running back can explode through. Some concerns stem from his athleticism. He’s not known to be fast at all and some scouts worry he won’t be able to keep up with the athleticism required to succeed in the NFL.
In his last season at Michigan, he was awarded Second-team All-Big Ten Conference honors and suited up for all 15 of Michigan’s games. He was a captain on one of the nation’s best O-lines and helped protect now Vikings QB and 10th overall pick JJ McCarthy. He also helped make holes for one of the nation’s more explosive RBs in Rams 83rd overall pick Blake Corum.
Overall, some think he might be one of the more underappreciated linemen in this draft. NextGen stats had him as the 7th most athletic guard despite many scouts voicing concerns about his athleticism and in total, the 13th best guard in the draft. He will have a chance to learn behind one of the NFL’s best position coaches, Jeff Stoutland, and will also get to learn from studs like Landon Dickerson.
