Sixers Hold On and Defeat Hornets

The 76ers beat Charlotte 121-114 at home on Friday Night and moved to 34-25 on the year. Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris both had stellar nights and were excellent in the scoring category, propelling Philadelphia to victory.

Philadelphia was carried by Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris, who both had excellent scoring performances. Maxey scored 33 points while shooting 38% from the field, while Harris scored 31% while shooting an outstanding 68% from the field. This is the Tobias Harris that Elton Brand wanted. Unfortunately, it’s about 5 years too late but we’ll take what we can get.

This game had its ups and downs, but the highlights were clearly the Ricky Council IV tomahawk slam early in the game and the incredible Tyrese Maxey block at the end of the game. Council has been an excellent addition to the lineup, a surprising one at that. The guard out of Arkansas was undrafted and snuck his way into the lineup recently and is not disappointing.

The Sixers take on the Mavericks in Dallas on Sunday in a game where Philly really needs to prepare for the wonders of Luka and Kyrie.
