Sandström, Foerster, and the posts stayed strong: Flyers get the 2 points

The Flyers found a way to bounce back from that 5-2 loss against the Capitals on Thursday night to pick up a huge 2 points in the big battle for the playoffs with a 4-2 win over the Senators at the Wells Fargo Center on a huge night.
Joel Farabee stuck early, in the first minute of the game, to give the Flyers an early lead. He snapped 14 games without a goal.
Fun fact, the Flyers scored the first goal in their last 3 games, and all of them were in the first 2 minutes of the game.
During that first period, the Flyers dominated completely with 19 shots and 3 power plays. It’s nothing surprising, the Flyers didn’t score in any of those PP, but they had a goal lead heading to the second and completely shut out the Sens during that period (or the Sens didn’t show up).
As expected, the Sens played better during that season period and started creating chances but even though they were better, the Flyers still had opportunities.
They tied the game in the first half of the period with a backhand goal from Vladimir Tarasenko.
With a tie game for almost 15 minutes, Tyson Foerster scores with 46 seconds left in the second period to give a huge lead to the Flyers.
Not only that, but he kept pushing the next shift to get a breakaway that led to a penalty shot opportunity. With a record breaker, Tyson Foerster scores, and the Flyers became the first team in NHL history to score 5 penalty shot goals in one NHL season.
The Flyers had a good lead heading to the third, but a huge job needed to be done to secure the 2 points.
The Flyers had a double minor and a minor during the first 11 minutes of the third period. One of the best teams on the PK in the NHL finds a way to kill those.
Late in the game, the Sens had another opportunity and scored, with the goalie pulled, to cut the lead in half. The Flyers survived and won it 4-2 with a late Cameron York empty netter.
The Flyers won a huge game at home on a Saturday night. Tyson Foerster stepped up and was the guy that made a difference. Felix Sandström also played well; he made a few good saves, especially on the Sens powerplays. He made 24 saves on 26 shots.
The Flyers will have a huge game coming up on Monday against the Blues. It should be the last game without Konecny since he should be back next week, on Thursday.
