Just a few hours after the announcement of Sean Desai’s firing, Matt Patricia called it quits from Philadelphia.
Patricia took over play-calling duties from Desai in Week 15 after Philadelphia had lost 2 straight games, to San Francisco by 23 and Dallas by 20. The former Patriots DC and Lions Head Coach didn’t do much better than Desai, winning only 1 of his 5 games calling plays.
It’s been less than a week since the Philly offseason began and Howie Roseman is already clearly aggressive. Philadelphia now can start from scratch with the defensive playbook and begin making changes so they can get back to their 2022 dominance.
Patricia will be pursuing other opportunities, per John Clark. He has had success in previous years, winning 3 Super Bowls with the New England Patriots as their Defensive Coordinator and play-caller. Unfortunately, things just didn’t work out in Philly for this top-tier coach.

Top-tier coach, LMAO
