Flyers select Marek Sklenicka with 120th pick in 4th round
(Seattle Thunderbirds)
After not making a pick in the third round of the NHL Draft, the Flyers select their second goaltender of the draft.
They selected Marek Sklenicka, another Czech-born goaltender, who spent the 2025-26 season with the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL. He was ranked 6th among goalies playing in North America by NHL Central Scouting.

Sklenicka was Martin Psohlavec’s backup at the U18 World Juniors. The Flyers selected Psohlavec in the second-round earlier on Saturday.
At 6-foot-4 and 181 pounds, Sklenicka boasts a solid framework and can maintain his position when facing shots against the perimeter.

In his first season with Seattle, Sklenicka went 20-12-6 with a 3.21 GAA, .902 save percentage, and had three shutouts in 42 games. The 17-year-old also helped Czechia win bronze at the 2026 IIHF World Under-18 Championship, making 21 saves in a 4-1 win against Latvia in the third-place game and finishing the tournament with a 1.91 GAA and .921 save percentage in three games.
The Flyers now have three goalies from Czechia: Daniel Vladar, Psohlavec, and Sklenicka.
The Flyers picked again at No. 136 in the fifth round.
