The Eagles are adding more depth to their offensive line.
With the 68th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Eagles selected offensive tackle Markel Bell from the University of Miami.

Bell, a senior, started all 16 games in the 2025 season at left tackle for the runner-up Hurricanes, earning Third-Team All-ACC Honors. He’s a giant, standing at 6-foot-9, 346 pounds with 36 ⅜’’ arms and an 87 ⅛’’ wingspan. Bell entered Miami as a 4-star JUCO recruit in the 2024 class, coming from Holmes Community College. He started 21 games across two seasons for Miami and made an appearance in the 2026 Senior Bowl.
Weight and height are his biggest factors, and he also ran a fantastic 40-yard dash for his size in 5.36 seconds. Edge rushers struggled to get around his frame, but struggled against quick pash rushers.

This gives the Eagles, once again, more offensive line stability and a fantastic ability to develop him into a full-time starter. There’s nothing wrong with adding offensive line depth, and that’s what the Eagles do best. With the concern of injuries and retirements from the current offensive line, the Eagles will be taking his size into full effect, and they will see how well his pass protection translates into the NFL from college.
Bell will almost certainly not start immediately, but a good training camp gives the Eagles solid depth and competition for the near future.
