With the eyes of Philadelphia sports fans on the Flyers, Phillies, and 76ers, many have probably forgotten that the NFL Draft is now three days away.

For those who have been preoccupied with the other sports, the Eagles have four picks within the first three rounds. Of course, there is also the looming A.J. Brown trade that could potentially net the Eagles another high-round pick later this week.

For this mock draft, I have added trades into my simulation while using Pro Football Focus’s mock draft simulator.

Round 1 Pick 23: Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo

With their first round pick, the Eagles go back to Toledo and grab Emmanuel McNeil-Warren. The former teammate of Quinyon Mitchell gets inserted into an extremely talented secondary where he will be slated to start from day 1. McNeil-Warren has a rare combination of size and athleticism for a safety, as he is 6’3 1/2″ and 201 lbs.

While many people around the Eagles have been shutting down fans who want McNeil-Warren because the Eagles rarely take safeties in the first round, I would say look at their last two drafts. In 2024, the Eagles took a cornerback in rounds 1 and 2, and in 2025, they drafted a linebacker in the first round for the first time since the 1970’s. I believe Vic Fangio has changed their draft philosophy for the better, and if they think he is the best player, I believe they will take him regardless of position.

McNeil-Warren has been highly celebrated for his ability to tackle both in space and in the box on runs. He has also used his size to create 9 forced fumbles in his career. Weirdly enough, with how good Cooper DeJean and Mitchell are, they do not create many turnovers, so adding a player who can turn the football over in the secondary would be a big help for this defense.

TRADE! Round 1 Pick 31: Denzel Boston, WR, Washington

We have a trade! The Philadelphia Eagles are trading receiver A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots for the 31st overall pick in 2026 and a third-round pick in 2027. With the 31st pick, the Eagles select Brown’s replacement in Denzel Boston.

Whether or not Brown gets traded on draft night, it seems like a forgone conclusion that he will not be an Eagle come week 1. While it stinks to lose Brown, finding his replacement in the draft should be one of the priorities for the Eagles. With Boston, they get a cheap yet extremely talented player to play alongside DeVonta Smith, who has wide receiver one potential.

Boston measured at 6’3 5/8″ at the combine, and he uses his size extremely well with jump balls and contested catches. On NFL.com, his pro player comparison is Puka Nacua. While obviously that would be his ceiling as a receiver, he does possess many of the same traits as Nacua. In his two years as a starter, he scored 20 touchdowns, showing he can be a red zone threat. It’s understood he will not be a top wide receiver right away, but he and Smith can be a formidable duo of the future.

Round 2 Pick 54: Malachi Lawrence, EDGE, UCF

The Eagles come to my home city and select Malachi Lawrence from UCF for their second-round pick. While UCF is not a football powerhouse, Lawrence was named first-team all-Big 12 for the 2025 season. At 6’4 3/8″ and 253 lbs, Lawrence has a great combination of size and athleticism as he scored the second-highest athleticism score at the combine for edge rushers. On NFL.com, they have his pro player comparison as former Eagle and Super Bowl champion Josh Sweat.

After losing Jaelan Phillips in free agency, the Eagles need pass-rush help, and they find that in the second round with Lawrence. In 2025, he had 7 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. The Eagles have shown with Jaylx Hunt that they can develop pass rushers, and with someone with Lawrence’s raw physical traits, I am confident they would turn him into a plus pass rusher.

Round 3 Pick 68: Davison Igbinosun, CB, Ohio State

With their first of two third-round picks, the Eagles pick for the future with Davison Igbinosun. While the Eagles’ cornerbacks are set for 2026 after signing Riq Woolen, it is only a one-year deal for Woolen, allowing Igbinosun to sit for a year, and potentially take over across from Mitchell in 2027.

Igbinosun has played against some of the best receivers in the nation on the biggest stage while playing at Ohio State, and held up pretty well. He has 4 interceptions over the last two seasons, and he has started 53 games over his career at Ohio State. He definitely needs some development, but that’s why I would like him as a pick for the Eagles, who have the luxury of not having to have him play immediately.

Round 3 Pick 98: Sam Roush, TE, Stanford

With their second third-round pick, the Eagles fill a major need with tight end Sam Roush. While Roush can catch the football, his talent is as a blocker. The Eagles really struggled in the run game due to a poor blocking season by Dallas Goedert, and no other tight ends could do the job. Roush will be able to help out the run game pretty much right away with the lack of blocking tight ends on the Eagles roster.

There are some very good pass-catching tight end options in this draft that the Eagles will definitely consider, but with the run-heavy offense they run, getting a player who can help create holes for more Saquon Barkley home runs is worth a third-round pick to me.
