In a recent story from ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Phillies’ third baseman was noted as the 24th-ranked player who could be traded this offseason.
Passan predicts a 50% chance of Alec Bohm getting traded, with potential suitors of the Brewers, Mariners, Pirates, and Angels.
“In a winter of change in Philadelphia, Bohm is among the likeliest of Phillies not to return,” Passan wrote.

Passan mentioned that if the Phillies are not able to retain Kyle Schwarber and pivot to Alex Bregaman, Bohm is “as good as gone.” He also states that the team could move from Bohm and acquire a temporary third baseman or run with prospect Aidan Miller.
Bohm has one year of control left at roughly $10 million, pending arbitration. The 29-year-old hit a career-high (not including the shortened 2020 season) .287 in 2025 with a .331 OBP and .409 slug, including a .741 OPS and 11 homers with 59 RBI in 464 at-bats. His power numbers, defensive metrics, and walk and strikeout rates were all a step below his typical standards this past season. He knocked just 32 extra-base hits this year, compared to his 61 in 2024.
Bohm went 4-for-12 in the NLDS against the Dodgers this October and did not come through once with runners on.

The Phillies tried to move the six-year veteran last season, where his final month and a half and postseason were abysmal.
The only other Phillie cited by Passan was Nick Castellanos, whom we know the Phils have been shopping around. Some names that are “good fits” for the Phillies include Ketel Marte, Byron Buxton, Jarren Duran, Steven Kwan, Wilyer Abreu, and Luis Robert Jr.
Winter Meetings begin on December 7 and run through the 10th in Orlando. We could get some answers regarding Bohm and others involving the Phillies in the coming days and weeks.
