One of the greatest Philadelphia Eagles of all time is considering coming out of retirement.

Two-time Super Bowl Champion and the Eagles’ all-time leader in games played, Brandon Graham, is considering coming out of retirement and rejoining the Eagles. Graham played in 206 games over 15 seasons for the Eagles and was one of only four Eagles to win both Super Bowls in the team’s franchise history.

This move comes after losses to Philadelphia’s pass rush, as Nolan Smith is currently dealing with a tricep injury, Ogbo Okonkwo also went down with a tricep injury that ended his season, and one of their in-season free agency acquisitions, Za’Darius Smith, retired earlier this week. Smith appeared in four games with the Eagles, recording one sack.

Graham retired following the Eagles’ 40-22 Super Bowl LIX win last season, as he battled back from a tricep injury that season to play in the championship game. In Super Bowl LIX, Graham recorded one tackle.

While the impact from Graham in the most recent Super Bowl wasn’t that memorable, in the Eagles’ first Super Bowl win, Super Bowl LVII, Graham made one of the biggest plays in Eagles team history, strip-sacking Tom Brady late to help the team capture their first championship.

If Graham comes out of retirement this week, he’ll likely need some time to get back into football shape. The Eagles play the Vikings, then the Giants before before a Week 9 bye. Graham would likely be back in shape and ready to play in the Eagles’ first game after the bye, a Monday Night matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
