There are a lot of name changes going on in South Philadelphia.

Stateside Brands announced Thursday morning that ‘Xfinity Live!’ will become ‘Stateside Live!’ in the fall of this year, marking the venue’s first name change in its history.

Matt Quigley, President and Co-Founder of Stateside Brands, said the company negotiated for the naming rights as an ode to its Philly origins and its embrace of the city’s sports teams.

“If you really look at the epicenter of our growth, it is rooted in Philadelphia, but particularly Philly sports,” Quigley said in a statement. “We built our following one sporting event at a time, over a decade of tailgates and supporting our teams. This naming rights partnership is a full-circle crowning moment, and we look forward to many more years of building upon the excitement and privilege it is to be a fan in Philadelphia.”

Stateside Vodka was founded in Kensington in 2015. The award-winning vodka is now one of Pennsylvania’s top sellers and is available in 32 states nationwide.

In 2022, Stateside Brands launched Surfside Iced Teas and Lemonades, which are available in all 50 states and have been a heavy hitter at Citizens Bank Park since 2023. IMPACT Databank reported that Surfside was 2024’s fastest-growing alcohol brand worldwide.

“Stateside is a quality brand with a deep connection to Philadelphia and a strong understanding of the market,” said Tony Monaco, VP of Operations for Live! Hospitality & Entertainment in a statement. “As we look to the future of Stateside Live! and completing our expansion, we couldn’t be more excited to bring this unique and homegrown naming rights partnership to the city and continue delivering a world-class hospitality and entertainment experience for our millions of guests each year.”

The Live! venue opened in 2012 as Xfinity Live! on the corner of 11th and Pattison, the same spot the Spectrum once stood. Live! became the spot for Philly sports fans pre, post, and during games, featuring various dining and entertainment options.

In 2024, The Cordish Companies and Comcast Spectacor announced a $12 million renovation. The upgrades include enhancing the popular sports bar’s outdoor plaza for game days, festivals, and community events, as well as improvements to the interior and exterior. Upgrades to the plaza are expected to be completed in 2026, just in time for the MLB All-Star Game and the FIFA World Cup.

So now, the Wells Fargo Center will become the Xfinity Mobile Arena, and Xfinity Live! will be Stateside Live!

Do not get too confused.
