2025 Philadelphia Eagles 3-Round Mock Draft 2.0

It’s officially that fun time of the year again.
Last year, Howie Roseman had arguably the best draft out of any of the other 31 teams present. Howie was able to grab both stud CBs Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean in the first 2 rounds. They’d both play key roles in the turnaround of the Eagles’ secondary, which, as we all know, led to a Lombardi Trophy. Roseman was also able to find possible steals in Jalyx Hunt, Will Shipley, and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. All 3 had limited playing time this season, but showed lots of potential when on the field.
This draft will be another very important one for the Eagles. It’s been a rough start to the offseason on both sides of the ball, and they will be relying on these newcomers to fill many of those gaps.
Here’s a look at what Roseman could do next week in Green Bay:
Round 1, Pick 32, Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College
The Boston College product has great potential to provide life to the Eagles’ pass rush. In his final season with Boston College, Ezeiruaku racked up 16.5 sacks. This effort awarded him the 2024 ACC defensive player of the year award.
With the Eagles having lost Josh Sweat to free agency, I think Ezeiruaku could fill the gap alongside Nolan Smith and Hunt. Getting to play next to those 2 will only benefit him as well.
Round 2, Pick 64, Lathan Ransom, Safety, Ohio State
With C.J. Gardner-Johnson being shipped off via a trade to the Houston Texans, there is a gaping hole at the safety position on the team right now. Other than the reliable Reed Blankenship, the rest of the safety room consists of Sydney Brown, Tristin McCollum, and Lewis Cine. None of whom has proven anything in the NFL so far.
Ransom, I think, is a very nice fit in Vic Fangio’s system. The Buckeye product is one of the smarter safeties you’ll see as a prospect. He’s been praised for his football IQ along with his run tackling. I think if you pair him with the league’s smartest DC and a relatively experienced Blankenship to mentor him, he could find himself thriving early on.
Round 3, Pick 96, Deone Walker, DT, Kentucky
Sticking on the defensive side of the ball, Walker strikes me as your typical boom or bust prospect. Walker is a giant human being, weighing in at 6’7, 331 pounds. To no surprise, he’s shown flashes as a run-blocking force up the middle in his time at Kentucky. Pairing him with the likes of Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, and even Moro Ojomo seems like a great fit.
The issue with Walker is that he often does not know how to use his build to gain leverage. There are numerous instances of smaller linemen making quick work of him because of that. He’ll need to work on his mechanics for sure. No better place to do that than Philly, however, with Fangio and one of the best DTs in football, Carter.
