Eagles announce championship parade will take place on Friday

The Eagles are Super Bowl champions for the second time in the last seven years. Incredible.
Now, that things are settled, the city turns to plan a parade. And the Eagles announced when all of us will unite in Philadephia to celebrate the Super Bowl LIX champions.
Late Sunday night, or early Monday morning, the Eagles confirmed that the parade will be held on Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14.

The route has not been officially announced, but it is safe to assume it will follow the same path the 2018 parade did, starting around 11:00 a.m. at Broad Street and Pattison Avenue in South Philadelphia and heading north on Broad toward the Art Museum on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The speeches and ceremony would take place atop the Rocky steps, as it did seven years ago.
The parade being a whole five days after the game is a bummer, but the weather is not helping anyone out. Snow is projected on Tuesday and Wednesday, with Thursday bringing rain. Friday, however, is projected to be a high of 37 with sunshine. A cold, but sunny day for the World Champions.
Estimates for the crowd in 2018 were about 700,000, but there is no way that is true, especially being there.
What is so special about the parade is how we all come together, uniting as one: Eagles fans. No matter where you are from, how you were raised, the color of your skin, your religion, your gender, and anything else, we are all united together to celebrate our Eagles. It is a special day, and Friday cannot come soon enough.
