The 10-2 Philadelphia Eagles host the 3-9 Carolina Panthers at 1pm on Sunday afternoon. Philly is on an 8 game win streak and is coming off of a statement victory against a tough Baltimore team. The Panthers have lost back-to-back games by 3 points against Kansas City and Tampa Bay.

Saquon Barkley continues his quest for the most rushing yards in NFL history, a record currently held by Eric Dickerson who had a staggering 2,105 yards back in 1984.

Carolina is objectively one of the worst defenses against the run in the entire NFL and allow almost 150 yards per game on the ground.

This could allow Saquon to thrive.

The Panthers likely will over-commit on the run, knowing that Philly will try to exploit Carolina’s weakness. If the Panthers choose to do this, Nick Sirianni could switch to the air and catch them off guard.

Carolina’s secondary isn’t good either and also ranks towards the bottom in yards allowed in the air, with opposing teams notching about 225 with the passing game.

Dave Canales’s offense is decent with Bryce Young and Chuba Hubbard leading them, but the defense is the reason why they likely will lose this game.

However, their offense cannot be counted out. Bryce Young seems to have finally turned the corner and has improved drastically since being benched earlier in the season. The 2023 first overall pick is a versatile, shifty quarterback who could give the Eagles D problems. Sending a spy or a blitzer at all times may be a good idea for Vic Fangio and his defense.

The Eagles have a chance to extend their winning streak to 9 games on Sunday. All they have to do is play how they’ve played since week 4 and all will work out.
