Jerry Jones’ answer about the sun was hilarious

The Eagles’ 34-7 smackdown of the Cowboys on Sunday was delightful to watch. Jalen Hurts was excellent, the defense was dominant, and Jerry Jones had a meltdown.
What is better than that?
After the game, members of the media met with the Cowboys owner/general manager. Also, since when did owners/general managers get press conferences postgame?
Jones was particularly aggravated with Dallas’ trouble adjusting to the crazy sun rays coming into AT&T Stadium. Yes, it is very difficult to play in. But when you are the home team, you should be able to adapt. The Cowboys could not. And Jones was irritated by it.
Jones: “By the way, we know where the sun is going to be when we decide to flip the coin or not. We do know where the damn sun is going to be in our own stadium.”
Reporter: Why not put up curtains over the windows?
Jones: “Well let’s tear the damn stadium down and build another one? Are you kidding me?
“Everybody has got the same thing. Every team that comes in here has the same issues.
“I’m saying, the world knows where the sun is. You get to know that almost a year in advance. Someone asked me about the sun. What about the sun? Where’s the moon?”
It is so funny. Jerry Jones is awesome.
This is not the first time that the sun has affected games at AT&T Stadium, as Jones made very clear. But it was especially evident for Sunday afternoon’s 4:25 kickoff since CeeDee Lamb missed what would have been a touchdown at the end of the first half because he literally could not see.

What did Cooper Rush have to say about this?
“I couldn’t see.”
Reporter: Are you in favor of curtains in AT&T stadium?
Rush: “1000 percent.”
Hurts did struggle in the early portion of the game when the sun was most intense. He settled in in the second half and had a great day. Hurts threw for 137 yards and two touchdowns, rushed for two more touchdowns, did not turn the ball over, did not get sacked, and for the fifth straight game finished with a passer rating of 115 or higher after the sun set.
So, the rays do play a factor. And Jones will not do anything about it.
So no curtain for AT&T Stadium. So, I leave you with a pretty solid album with curtains: The Nylon Curtain, by Billy Joel:
