Dak Prescott has taken down the Eagles at AT&T Stadium for five straight games. He will be missing that matchup in 2024.

Prescott suffered a severe hamstring injury that is expected to have him sidelined for multiple weeks. He got injured towards the end of the third quarter in Dallas’ 27-21 loss to the Falcons in Atlanta. He did not return.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Monday, “This is not looking like a short-term injury.”

Cooper Rush is the Cowboys’ backup. He played the rest of the game in Atlanta after Prescott left. Rush went 13-for-25 for 115 yards and a TD pass in the 92 seconds he replaced Prescott. I would expect to see Rush Sunday afternoon against the Eagles at 4:25 p.m. Sunday.

Rush’s only loss as a starter came to the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field in 2022.

The Eagles have not won a game in Dallas since 2017. Prescott is 8-2 against the Eagles with 22 touchdown passes and four interceptions since that game.

This is absolutely brutal for Dallas. They are 3-5, third in the NFC East, and just look so hopeless right now. This injury may have just sold their ticket to the playoffs in January.

You obviously never want to see anyone get injured, but the Eagles could be catching a huge break not having to see Prescott at Jerry World this Sunday.

More injury news for Dallas: CeeDee Lamb sprained his AC joint in Atlanta as well. Though Lamb’s shoulder is sore, the injury is not considered serious and he is expected to have a chance to play Sunday vs. the Eagles, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Also, Micah Parsons “should be back” from his high ankle sprain Sunday, according to Schefter.
