Welcome back, Andre Drummond!

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the 76ers have agreed to a two-year $10-plus million deal with center Andre Drummond. The deal includes a player option, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Drummond returns to the Sixers just a few years after being involved in the James Harden-to-Brooklyn trade.

Drummond was a fan favorite in his short time with the Sixers for his toughness and heart around the rim. While he is not the best offensively, he is an outstanding rebounder.

In 2023-24 Drummond averaged 9.0 rebounds in just 17.1 minutes per game. The Sixers’ lack of rebounding was exposed in their playoff series with the Knicks, and with their first move of the offseason, they addressed that weakness.

Drummond was probably the best backup Joel Embiid has had in his time in Philadelphia, and he’s back on a two-year deal.
