Cristopher Sanchez came into this year with his spot in the rotation in no way safe. He hadn’t pitched over 100 innings in a season in his career and was tested early with Spencer Turnbull fighting for a spot in the Phillies rotation.

Despite this, Sanchez continued to surprise many with his performance on the mound and has had himself a career year to this point in the season.

Sanchez is 4-3 with a 2.91 ERA and earlier today Dave Dombrowski and company locked up the left-handed stud for 4 more years in Philly

It’s unsure as of the moment how much money Cristopher Sanchez just earned himself, but we do know that the deal includes 2 club options in 2029 and 2030.

But by the looks of it for now at least, Cristopher Sanchez is here to stay, and no doubt he’s earned it.
