Sixers Hold On and Win a Big One Against Miami

Philadelphia held on and took over in the 4th quarter leading to a 98-91 victory over the Miami Heat. This was a big game when it came to standings, as the winner would be the 6 seed and the loser would be in the Play-In Tournament bracket for the time being.
Tyrese Maxey had an excellent game, putting up 30 points, 8 rebounds, and 10 assists, making it his 3rd straight 30+ point game. This was the first time Maxey had ever scored 30+ in at least 3 games in-a-row and he looks to continue his streak on Wednesday in Phoenix.
Kelly Oubre Jr. also greatly impacted the scoring category with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Defensively, Philadelphia held the Heat to only 6 points in the final 5 minutes. Oubre was outstanding defensively, snagging 9 defensive rebounds and rejecting 5 shot attempts by the Miami offense. Jimmy Butler‘s absence was beneficial to the Sixers and may have been the key to this win.
The Sixers head to Phoenix on Wednesday to take on the Suns in a real test to see if Philly is playoff-ready. They will stay on the West Coast for the next few days, playing the next 3 games in California before finally returning home on the 29th.
