The Philadelphia Sports Complex in South Philly has generally been the same. Three stadiums, a bar, and recently a casino.

However, there may be some massive additions coming.

Comcast Spectacor has proposed building a 500,000-square-foot office space, 460,000 square feet of retail space, a new 5,500-seat arena, 2,000 family apartments, 500 rooms across multiple hotels, and 10,000 garage parking spaces, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Where would these go?

I have no clue.

This could be Comcast trying to keep the 76ers in South Philly, as they are looking to move into Center City with their brand-new arena. They are already renovating the Wells Fargo Center’s exterior with video boards and lines of lights around the outside of the arena.

Now, they are looking to bring in some more income with office and retail space, another arena (I have no clue what for), apartments, hotels, and a parking garage.

Dig the grave for parking at the sports complex.

Another thing is a parking garage eliminates tailgates.

We will see if this really comes to fruition.
