For the 3rd straight year, the Eagles are going to the playoffs.

While it is yet to be seen what seed the Eagles will have in the playoffs, being able to clinch a spot with 4 games left to play is a major feat.

According to Jeff Kerr of CBS, Nick Sirianni is the first coach in franchise history to lead the team to the playoffs in each of his first three seasons. While there have been many mainstays over Sirianni’s tenure, this stat says as much about Siranni as it does about Jalen Hurts. When Hurts and Sirianni took over this franchise they were coming off a 4-11-1 season where it looked like there was little to no hope. Ever since they took over they stabilized a potentially sinking ship, and hopefully, this is just the beginning.

After the Cowboys’ blowout loss to the Bills tonight it is looking more and more likely that the Eagles will win the NFC East. While it is not set in stone yet, it has many fans wondering if the Eagles getting the number one or the number two seed would be more beneficial. If the Eagles did finish with the one seed they would have home-field advantage throughout both potential games, but the likely teams they would play are the Cowboys and the 49ers. If they have the two seed the likely teams they would play would be the Vikings, the Lions, and then at the 49ers. For me, I will take my chances with a bye week, and then two games at home no matter who they are playing. We are still a ways away from these seeds being decided, but at the very least the defending NFC champions will have a chance to defend their title.
