2023 was a rollercoaster for Nick Castellanos, the Phillies’ all-star right fielder, or more commonly known as “Liam’s dad.” Early this week, multiple sources indicated that Nick Castellanos may be on the move. during the regular season, hit 29 home runs and had a .272 batting average, but his postseason struggles made him victim to scrutiny from many Phillies fans.
Nevertheless, most recent updates have said that Castellanos will not, however, be on the trading block, as the Phillies see him as an “important” aspect to the team.
Bryce Harper, though, is on the move, but it is not to a different team. For the indefinite future, Harper will be the Phillies’ primary first baseman, likely ending Rhys Hoskins’ tenure as a Phillie. In six seasons and 667 games, Hoskins hit 148 home runs and posted an .846 OPS.
More details on Hoskins will be provided as they become available.
