The 22-21 Philadelphia Phillies had a first shot at winning the series, but failed. They’ll try and win it Thursday night over the 19-23 Miami Marlins.
Here’s what to watch:
Vinny V gets the start
Phillies starter Vince Velasquez has been quite a good surprise since he replaced Matt Moore in the starting-rotation in April.
In his last five starts, Velasquez has a 2.84 ERA. He has allowed one run in each of his last three starts, pitching at least 5 1/3 innings each of those three starts.
Overall, Velasquez in 1-0 with a 3.68 ERA.
Realmuto and Segura out of lineup
J.T. Realmuto (wrist) is out of the lineup for the fourth straight game. Phillies are hoping Realmuto (wrist) can play Friday.
The Phils still haven’t put him on the injured list, so it’s interesting what will happen and what is happening.
Jean Segura is feeling under the weather, per manager Joe Girardi. He’s available off the bench Thursday night.
