A.J. Brown declines to speak to media following poor, controversial performance in Wild Card loss to 49ers

A.J. Brown likely had his worst performance as an Eagle on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. He was targeted seven times and made just three receptions for 25 yards, notably dropping a third-and-11 pass right in his hands, leading to the Eagles’ ultimate demise.
The 28-year-old declined to speak to the media following the Eagles’ 23-19 Wild Card loss to the 49ers. He gave handshakes to a handful of his teammates on his way out of the locker room and told a group of reporters he was “about to go.”
Brown left the building shortly after for what is perhaps his final game in midnight green.
Players have to speak to the media postgame, especially those with the stardom that Brown has. But especially after you drop three passes and you have a viral disagreement with your head coach on the sidelines, not speaking postgame becomes particularly fascinating.
Brown has been rumored in trade talks over the past few seasons. That narrative will rise again this offseason.
He may talk at exit interviews, which will likely be sometime this week.
