The Phillies have officially announced that today’s game has been postponed due to inclement weather to tomorrow, May 14. On Wednesday, the Phillies will host the Cardinals — winners of nine straight games — for a doubleheader to finish up their three-game series.
The Cardinals took game one of the series in a low-scoring affair, but unfortunately, the Phillies sluggers, with the help of Jesus Luzardo, won’t be able to bounce back today.
Tomorrow, May 14, they will try to make up the game as part of a split doubleheader.
Game 1 will begin at 1:05 p.m. and Game 2 at 6:15 p.m. Those who have tickets for the game scheduled today will be valid for game 2 tomorrow night.
Luzardo, Tuesday’s projected starter, will get the ball for Game 1, while Aaron Nola gets the night game.
The Phillies look to end the Cardinals’ win streak. If they manage back-to-back wins on Wednesday, they would extend their series win streak to six in a row.
