Who is PSR Staff Predicting to Win Eagles-Rams’ Divisional Game?

Today is the day! Game day!

The Eagles and Rams kick off from Lincoln Financial Field at 3:00 today. Who is the Philly Sports Reports staff picking to win the game?

Here are our official predictions:

Benjamin Goldstein: Eagles 28, Rams 17

After the Eagles’ offensive hardships last week against the Packers, they will shut everyone up against the Rams. The rust has been shaken off that was there last week, and this unit is ready to go. Jalen Hurts will find A.J. Brown in the endzone, and of course, Saquon Barkley will get in. The Eagles’ defense, as they have all year, will step up to the test against Matthew Stafford and the Rams’ defense, holding them to just 17 points. And with the snow, it just adds to the Eagles’ chances for a victory. Stafford is 1-8 in the rain/show, posting a 54.6 completion percentage, throwing 14 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, and having a 76.0 passer rating. He lost the Snow Bowl at the Linc in 2013 and will lose the NFC Divisional Game in the same building 11 years later.

Sam Heine: Eagles 31, Rams 24

Rain sleet or snow, the Eagles train to go. In what could be a snow bowl 2.0 the Eagles will face another very tough opponent in the Rams. With potential rookie of the year Jared Verse on their defensive line they are not the same defense that we played back in November. The Rams totaled 9 sacks in their win last week against the Vikings, and their defensive line vs our offensive line will be the matchup to watch today. Jalen Hurts and the offense as a whole really struggled against the Packers, and they will have to be better against this talented Rams defense. The Rams also have an extremely talented offense with Matthew Stafford leading the way. Stafford though is 1-8 in his career in games where it is snowing and raining. This will be no easy game, but with the chance to host an NFC Championship game clearly in their sights, I think the Eagles offense will get back on track today, and we will win today’s game.

Matt Brown: Eagles 31, Rams 24

I expect this game to be somewhat different from the one earlier this season. The Rams are hitting their stride at the right time of the year and last week’s win over the Minnesota Vikings proved it. The Rams’ defense was all over the place, sacking Sam Darnold nine times and the offense did exactly what they needed to do to pick up the victory. I’m expecting Matt Stafford and company to pound the football and try to keep the ball out of the Eagles’ hands as much as they can. However, I still think that Saquon Barkley will be too much for LA and he will once again show the world why he is the best running back in the world. As long as Jalen Hurts doesn’t turn the ball over I think the Eagles outlast Los Angeles and punches their ticket to the NFC Championship game.

Bo Lynett: Eagles 31, Rams 17

The Eagles defense showed themselves as the driving force behind this team’s success last week and I think that carries through here. I think that the Rams coming off an emotional win combined with the poor weather conditions on Sunday will make it very hard for them to score, even without factoring in the fact they’ll be facing the number one defense in the NFL. The offense should once again just need to tread water in order to win the game. That being said I think we can expect a better game from the offense overall. The rust has been shaken and they’re ready to prove the doubters wrong just as they’ve done every time their skills were questioned in a previous week. Don’t be surprised if the passing game looks much better this week than it did against the Packers. If snow comes down during the game though, you can expect the Eagles to showcase just how dominant they are in the trenches.

Evan Hartenstein: Eagles 38, Rams 14

The Birds take on LA once again after routing them in Inglewood earlier this year. I don’t see things being different this time around. Saquon Barkley ran for a career-high 255 yards in Inglewood and had over 300 yards from scrimmage. Now imagine how he will do against a Rams team that has only played in cold-ish weather 4 times this season. The Linc is expected to have 3-4 inches of snow, so we will see how the Rams can handle that.

Ethan Whitney: Eagles 27, Rams 17

Hurts and the offense WILL look better this week. The Rams aren’t a team you want to face by any means but the Eagles are a great matchup for the Rams. They couldn’t for the life of them stop Saquon in their meeting earlier this year and I’d expect more of the same this time around. Along with the fact, I think the defense is going to have a hay day against Matt Stafford. Eagles Vs Commanders will feed families

Roman Furchi: Eagles 20, Rams 12

The Eagles last week while having a solid win looked terrible on offense. The Rams came into last week on a mission and spent the night absolutely dominating Minnesota in all facets. And while they were great last week the Eagles have something the Vikings don’t. An offensive line. The Eagles were arguably the best offensive line in the NFL and in their last game against the Rams this season they dominated the trenches. This Rams team is good but there is a reason the game is in Philly and not LA.
