Phillies take 2 Wins from Miami

The Phillies went down to Miami this weekend and took 2 of 3 from the struggling Marlins.
Game 1 was all Ranger Suarez, they came back from behind to take Game 2, and were unable to break out the brooms in Game 3.
Ranger Continues To Shine
Game 1 of the Marlins homestand started with Ranger Suarez taking the mound for the Phillies and Trevor Rogers on the mound for the Marlins.
Trevor Rogers had a quick night as the Phillies continued to slug the ball as they’ve been doing so far this season. Both Johan Rojas and Nick Castellanos recorded home runs in this game that helped produce the 8-2 final score.
The most impressive player to shine in this win was Ranger Suarez. Ranger once again recorded 7 scoreless innings with 9 strikeouts which propelled the Phillies to their win against the Marlins.
These Boys Don’t Quit
Taijuan Walker took the start for game 2 as he let up a solo home run to left field that gave the Marlins the early lead of 1-0.
Following a J.T. Realmuto RBI, the bases were juiced and to seize the moment came Bryson Stott. Stott launched a missile to right field that bought him enough time to extend his hit to a triple allowing for every runner to make it home.
This hit would eventually seal the game for the Phillies as the score would extend to 8-3 being the final score.
You Gotta Finish Strong
The final game of the series came down to the wire.
The Phillies took an early lead with Castellanos hitting a three-run bomb to give the Phillies a cushioned lead.
Through 4 Innings the Marlins stole the lead as they scored 6 runs giving them a 3-run lead over the Phillies.
In the Phillies’ time of need, Edmundo Sosa stepped up to the moment as in the 6th with 2 runners on, Sosa hit a triple that put the Phillies 1 run behind the Marlins. Right after though, Marsh was able to pop up a sacrifice fly that scored Sosa making it a 6-6 game.
Following this, the Phillies bats went silent even at the top of the lineup in extra innings. Capitalizing on this, the Marlins pinch-hit Jesus Sanchez by replacing him with Emmanuel Rivera who hit the game-winning single that gave us a final of 7-6
