Sixers 6 Game Win-Streak Snapped, Pacers Get the Win

The Indiana Pacers took down the 76ers 134-122 in the Pacers’ first win in the Pascal Siakam era of Indiana. A 10-0 run going into the 2nd half by the Pacers kept Philadelphia from making a comeback bid and led them to victory. Philly is now 1-2 against them this season, clearly being one of their toughest opponents.

The defense in Thursday night’s game proved to be lackluster as an astounding 7 Indiana players scored at least 11 points, including all 5 starters. A shorthanded Philadelphia couldn’t handle the speed of the Pacers’ offense and fell behind early and never really recovered. Pascal Siakam was too much for the 76ers to deal with and he was able to put up his 6th career triple-double.

Tobias Harris‘s absence was tough for Philly, but Joel Embiid still scored 31 points. This is his 22nd consecutive game with at least 30 points. Tyrese Maxey shot 7-17 from the field and had 22 points, but it wasn’t quite enough to pull off a comeback. However, a good thing that came out of this game was that Ricky Council IV had the 3rd most points for the 76ers, putting up 11. An impressive number for the first-year man out of Arkansas.

Philadelphia will play in their NBA Rivals-Week game on Saturday in Denver at 5:30 P.M. This will be the 2nd time Philly will meet the Nuggets, as they played a little bit less than 2 weeks ago and the Sixers pulled off a 126-119 win over Jokic. Joel Embiid will continue his dominance and run for MVP by going 2-0 in the season-serious against the reigning champions.
