Eagles-Buccaneers end Wild Card Weekend on Monday Night

The Eagles’ late-season collapse has them headed to Tampa Bay for Wild Card weekend as the five-seed.
After finishing second in the NFC East, the 11-6 Eagles face the fourth-seeded, 9-8, Buccaneers in the first round of the playoffs next Monday night at 8:00 p.m.
This is the fifth Monday night game the Eagles will be participating in this season.
The Eagles previously played the Bucs in Week 3 on Monday night, beating them 25-11 at Raymond James Stadium. In that game, Jalen Hurts threw for 277 yards and a touchdown but was picked off twice. D’Andre Swift rushed for 130 yards and has not reached 100 in any game since then. A.J. Brown also went off that night, catching 9 passes for 131 yards. A lot has changed with the Eagles since then.
The Bucs went 5-1 in their final six games of the 2023 regular season, while the Eagles are limping into the playoffs losing five of their last six. After starting the season with a 10-1 record, they have completely fallen off the planet.
The Eagles and Bucs met in the Wild Card round back in 2021. It was Tom Brady‘s final playoff victory. Since then, Jalen Hurts evolved into an elite quarterback, leading the Eagles to the one-seed and a Super Bowl appearance a season later. However, this season, if the Eagles are going to get back to the promised land, they are going to have to do it on the road.
