Tuesday afternoon, the Philadelphia Eagles signed future Hall of Fame Wide Receiver, Julio Jones to a one-year contract.
The seven-time pro bowler most recently played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he also spent time with the Tennessee Titans since his departure from the Atlanta Falcons.
Jones, 34, is having a reunion with A.J. Brown, as they played together in Tennessee. He likely will be taking away touches from Olamide Zaccheaus, who Jones also played with back when they were in Atlanta. Quez Watkins has been out with injuries for most of the season, and it comes to question if he will stay with the team. Philadelphia is in need of a better secondary, so it wouldn’t be unexpected for the now No. 5 receiver Watkins to be dealt for someone. Budda Baker has been high up on Eagles’ fans lists for Howie Roseman to acquire, and now he has somebody he can use as trade bait.
Julio Jones will likely see immediate action this Sunday Night against the red-hot Miami Dolphins. Expect Jalen Hurts to look for his number and get him into the endzone.
