That was fun.

The Eagles pulled out a huge win over Vikings Monday night, 24-7.

Offense

With a rowdy Eagle crowd in the home opener at Lincoln Financial Field, the Eagles immediately set the tone for an offensive masterpiece, converting first downs left and right. AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Jalen Hurts, Miles Sanders, and so many others destroyed the Vikings in every facet of the game. The Eagles went up early and never looked back, carried by two rushing TDs from Hurts and a 53-Yard bomb TD to Quez Watkins.

The offense was unrecoverable, having their way with the Vikings the entire night. Hurts was not only deadly on the ground, but he was zipping passes to receivers with authority to guide the Eagles to a victory.

Defense

Perhaps the most impressive development of the night was the dominance on defense. The explosive offense featuring Kirk Cousins, Justin Jefferson, and Dalvin Cook was utterly stampeded by a relentless Eagles pass rush and a stellar performance from Darius Slay and the Eagles secondary. Only 7 points were scored by the Vikings on a drive in the first half and that was all she wrote for the Vikings’ offense.

Darius Slay may have well been one of Kirk Cousins’ receivers with the number of times a pass hit Slay in the chest. Slay ended with 2 interceptions while making Justin Jefferson’s life a living hell.

Overall, an outstanding win for the Eagles, who look poised to be one of the elite teams in the NFC.
