Union Battle It Out In Newark, Sweep Red Bulls

On Saturday night, the Philadelphia Union took on the New York Red Bulls in Newark. Like all of their clashes, this rivalry game was intense, loud, and chippy. However, the Union did their jobs and came out on top.
Things were not looking good for the Union in the first half with both of their center backs, Glesnes and Elliot, getting yellow cards pretty early. Luckily, Andre Blake played very well and kept the Union in the game and level going into the half 0-0.
In the 48th minute, Mikael Uhre opened the scoring off a great play and pass from Jack McGlynn. In the 74th minute, Daniel Gazdag got his 18th goal of the season and sealed the game for the Union. In stoppage time of the game, Red Bull Dru Yearwood was shown a red card for smashing the ball into the stands and hitting a fan unnecessarily.
A 2-0 win away against the Red Bulls is a very good result from the Union. The Union are in position to potentially grab the Supporters Shield again!
