The Philadelphia Union are rolling! On Saturday night, the Union took on the Houston Dynamo at Subaru Park. This game was similar to the demolition of DC United. The 6-0 trashing got Union their fifth straight win and kept them on top of the Eastern Conference.

Daniel Gazdag opened the scoring in the 23rd minute and capped his 11th goal of the season after beautiful team play and a great pass by Alejandro Bedoya. In the 42nd minute, Jack McGlynn scored his first ever MLS goal after a fantastic free kick finish. Not long after, Mikael Uhre put the Union up three, in the beginning of the first half stoppage time, finishing off a great cross by Olivier Mbazio.

It didn’t take the Union much time after the break to continue their blowout. In the 48th minute Mikael Uhre got himself a brace, and Bedoya got himself an assist brace. In the 55th minute Julian Carranza got himself on the board finishing off another Bedoya assist. To cap off the night, Quinn Sullivan got himself his first goal this season in the 89th minute after a pass from Jack McGlynn.

The Union’s win tonight was very well deserved and the team is playing better soccer than ever before. It was so much fun to watch the attacking link up play and Jack McGlynn’s passing ability. I really hope Jack continues to play and the Union keep on performing this well.
