On Sunday at 1:00pm EST, the Eagles take on the New Orleans Saints at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles, still looking for their first home win of the season, seem to have finally found some momentum. After killing Detroit the Eagles came up just short of beating the Los Angles Chargers. Thankfully, they got a pretty convincing win over the Denver Broncos last week. Hurts may have had his best game of the year, and Devonta Smith most certainly did as well.

Over the last three weeks Smith has been on a tear. Eagles fans everywhere should be expecting this trend to keep going in the same direction. The Hurts-Smith duo has been near perfect over the last few weeks. If Sirianni decides to steer away from the run game, this duo could be a key factor in the game’s out.

Speaking of Sirianni, he has been surprisingly great in these last few games. It took him a little, but it looks that he’s finally found his rhythm. Since he’s started incorporating the run game, the Eagles have run the ball more than any other team in the NFL. Much of their run success is owed to Jordan Howard who has been quite the surprise since being called up.

The Saints will be without a few key players such as Jameis Winston, Alvin Kamara, and Michael Thomas. This is a huge sigh of relief for Eagles defensive coordinator and this Eagles defense. While they played pretty well last week, it would have been no match for a fully healthy Saints team. It is possible that by some miracle Gannon would’ve been able to make the right adjustments to do so, but it’s highly unlikely.

After Hurts got his first NFL start and win against the Saints, we should expect him to be pretty comfortable playing against them.

In all honesty, this is one of the first games that I am confident in the Eagles chances. With the momentum in our favor, it’s almost hard not to be. That being said, it is the Eagles, you never know what you’re gonna get.
