The 76ers have released the roster for the 2021 Summer League. Here’s the roster:
The Sixers’ summer league roster includes all three of the team’s selections in this year’s draft, as well as the entirety of last year’s rookie class.
In addition to draft picks Jaden Springer (pick 28), Filip Petrušev (pick 50), and Charles Bassey (pick 53), undrafted rookies Aaron Henry and Daishen Nix are notable members of the team.
Henry, a wing out of Michigan State, agreed to a two-way contract with the team. Nix was a highly-touted point guard prospect who played for G League Ignite last season, averaging 8.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game.
Frank Mason III, the G League MVP for the 2019-20 season, is another intriguing name. Mason was set to play for the Delaware Blue Coats in the G-League bubble before signing a two-way contract in February with the Orlando Magic.
Tyrese Maxey, Isaiah Joe, and Paul Reed did not have the opportunity to play in the summer league last year due to COVID. All three had promising moments as rookies, with Maxey in particular displaying a lot of talent for big games and high-pressure moments. Reed was named G-League MVP. Depending on how free agency shakes out, the trio could have chances to earn spots in the Sixers’ rotation next season.
Sixers assistant coach Brian Adams will serve as head coach. His staff will contain of Sixers skill development coaches Dwayne Jones, Tyler Lashbrook, and Jason Love, as well as Blue Coats assistant coach Xavier Silas.
The team’s first game will be on August 9 in Las Vegas against the Dallas Mavericks.
