After officially confirming their seven undrafted free agent signings, the Philadelphia Eagles also announced they signed free agent cornerback Nate Meadors.

Meadors, 24, played college football at UCLA before going unselected in the 2019 NFL Draft. He signed with the Minnesota Vikings and was on-and-off their roster before doing the same with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020.

With just 11 career defensive snaps and 37 special teams snaps under his belt, Meadors is definitely not the solution to the Eagles’ hole at cornerback.

Meadors didn’t actually play with new Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon in Minnesota but the Vikings connection is probably relevant to Meadors winding up in Philadelphia. His experience with a Mike Zimmer defense couldn’t of hurt his case.

The Eagles now have the following cornerbacks under contract: Darius Slay, Avonte Maddox, Craig James, Kevon Seymour, Michael Jacquet, Shakial Taylor, Jameson Houston, Lavert Hill, and Meadors. Slay is CB1 but it’s unclear who else is starting.
