After finishing in last place in the NFC East last season at 4-11-1, the Philadelphia Eagles will have the sixth pick in the 2021 draft. When you have a bad record, your opponents for the next season tends to be a lot easier. The Eagles announced their opponents Saturday and it may come to a surprise to some people.

Here are the Eagles’ 2021 opponents:

HOME:

Cowboys (6-10)

Giants (6-10)

WFT (7-9)

Saints (12-4)

Buccaneers (11-5, NFC Champions)

Chiefs (14-2, AFC Champions)

Chargers (7-9)

49ers (6-10)

AWAY:

Cowboys (6-10)

Giants (6-10)

WFT (7-9)

Falcons (4-12)

Panthers (5-11)

Raiders (8-8)

Broncos (5-11)

Lions (5-11)

The opponents that the Birds will be taking on on the road should be pretty fair, but the home opponents tend to differ.

The Eagles play the Chiefs, Buccaneers, and the Saints, who are all very good teams. The Buccaneers and Chiefs will be playing in the Super Bowl on Feb. 7, so they’re obviously very good, and the Saints had the best record in the NFC. Long time Saints quarterback Drew Brees will be retiring, he just hasn’t announced it. This should change the Saints, but they still look good without Brees and are still in it for the long run.

The Eagles will also look completely different as they will have a brand new coaching staff, including head coach, going into next season.

Those should teams should be tough for the Eagles, but other than those two teams, the Birds should be alright.
