It’s already week 14 in the 2020 NFL season as the Philadelphia Eagles got a doozy of a game as they’ll be facing off against the number-one seed in the NFC, the New Orleans Saints. The Eagles are now in third place in the NFC East while the Saints have already clinched a playoff spot with a tight end as their quarterback for the majority of the season. On the other side, the Eagles benched starting quarterback Carson Wentz for rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts in week 13 against the Green Bay Packers. Hurts will make his first career NFL start Sunday. Former Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins will be returning to Lincoln Financial Field for the first time since he was released over the offseason.

It’s another game that the Eagles have no chance at winning. This game is more to see what Jalen Hurts can do. When you look at anything, you’ll see the Saints are just so much better than the Eagles in every way. Here’s some notable Saints players, Taysom Hill, Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara, Jameis Winston, Emmanuel Sanders, etc. (Drew Brees is on reserve/injured). The one advantage the Eagles will have is that you don’t know what Hurts is like. This’ll be tough for the Saints defense. Well, I guess another advantage is that the Eagles are at home, but there’s no fans so there’s barely an advantage.

The Eagles really haven’t been able to make anything happen as they’ve lost their last 4-straight games as the schedule isn’t getting easier until week 16. It’s been painful to watch this team through all these injuries, these awful games, this awful coaching, and everything has been awful. The Eagles will have their twelfth different offensive line configuration in thirteen games on Sunday. Here is what the line will look like Sunday:

LT: Jordan Mailata

LG: Isaac Seumalo

C: Jason Kelce

RG: Nate Herbig

RT: Jack Driscoll

Here is the Eagles-Saints spread, via cbssports.com: Saints -7.5. Over-under: 42.5 points. Money line: Saints -360, Eagles +300. PHI: The Eagles are 3-3 against the spread at home.

Now it’s time for my prediction. There is absolutely no way the Eagles win this game. I think Jalen Hurts is going to have a nice game, but the defense won’t help him. I say the Saints win 41-21. I hope I’m wrong!

I will be covering the Eagles-Saints game right here on my Twitter feed (@PhlySprtsReprts) and on my Instagram story (@phillysportsreports_) through the entirety of Sunday’s game. It will come from an Eagles fan perspective. Go Birds!
