It’s another late-night West Coast win for the 76ers.
After picking up a win against the Los Angeles Clippers in the first game of their west coast trip, the Philadelphia 76ers added another win, this time picking up a win over the Golden State Warriors. Despite these teams having some of the best players in the entire NBA, both Joel Embiid and Stephen Curry were unavailable in the matchup.
Despite not having the big man, the 76ers had no problems, as the entire team stepped up in the win. Eight different 76ers totaled double-digit points, the most in a game this season. VJ Edgecombe led the way with 25 points, while adding seven rebounds and assists. Andre Drummond added a double-double, while Trendon Watford added 16 points and eight rebounds off the bench.
As the game tipped off, the 76ers jumped out to an early lead thanks to a pair of tough layups from Drummond and eight consecutive points from Kelly Oubre Jr. Trailing by four, the Warriors flipped that script nearly right away, as Golden State used a 17-8 run over the next five minutes to jump back in front.

Quinten Post kicked the run off with a nine-footer, and after layups from several Warriors, Post kept the run going with back-to-back threes. With the final seconds of the first 12 minutes ticking away, Watford picked up not one but two buckets, just beating the buzzer on the second shot to put the 76ers down 32-31 after a quarter of play.
Quarter number two started with a quick bang from Philadelphia as Watford and Edgecombe both knocked down layups, and Adem Bona added six straight points after a tip shot and a pair of dunks. The threes then finally began dropping for the 76ers as Edgecombe and Quentin Grimes knocked down back-to-back triples to extend Philadelphia’s lead to 12.
Former 76er De’Anthony Melton finally ended the scoreless run for Golden State, but another ferocious dunk from Bona and three from Grimes extended the lead to 15. All in all, including the four points at the end of the first quarter, it was a 26-6 run for the 76ers over seven minutes of action.
Just when the 76ers got rolling, the Warriors instantly went on a 9-0 run thanks to a three from Gui Santos and a pair of layups from another former 76er, Buddy Hield. Tyrese Maxey ended that run with a pair of free throws, but a three from Moses Moody and a reverse layup from Brandin Podziemski cut it to a one-possession game. Just before the first half came to a close, Maxey added three more points and Melton added two as the 76ers went into the break up 58-55.

Out of the half, the 76ers opened the quarter up with nine unanswered points, most notably getting a long three from Oubre and a tough layup from Edgecombe. After four and a half minutes without any points, Santos knocked downa three for the first points of the third for Golden State, and Draymond Green followed that up with a triple of his own.
Edgecombe and Pat Spencer traded threes, but Maxey and Grimes drilled back-to-back layups to extend the 76ers’ lead to 12. In the final two minutes of the third, both teams traded buckets as the 76ers went into the fourth up 84-71.
With 12 minutes to play, the 76ers began running away with the victory. Over the first eight minutes of action, Watford and Drummond scored four points, and Dominick Barlow added five more to go up 18. The final four minutes began ticking down, and Maxey, Drummond, and Watford knocked down threes to continue stretching Philadelphia’s lead. Following Watford’s three, both teams began emptying their bench, as the 76ers defeated the Warriors 113-94.
