There is good news and bad news for the Eagles regarding their matchup with the Bills on Sunday evening in Orchard Park.

Starting with the bad, the Eagles will be without two vital pieces on either side of the ball, respectively.

Lane Johnson will miss his sixth straight game with a Lisfranc sprain he suffered against the Lions on November 16. Fred Johnson, who has filled in nicely for Lane, will once again start in his place.

With just two games left in the regular season, it is highly unlikely that we will see Johnson until Wild Card weekend at Lincoln Financial Field, which is quite bizarre. It was reported two weeks ago that Johnson would report to practice and ramp up to return. Then, a week later, a separate report stated that Johnson would be ready to play this weekend. He did not return to practice, period.

Nakobe Dean is also out for Sunday’s game after missing a full week of practice. He suffered a hamstring injury against the Commanders in the first half last week, and Jihaad Campbell will start in his place. Campbell started the first eight games this season before Dean returned from PUP.

Meanwhile, Jalen Carter will make his return after missing the last three games following a procedure on both of his shoulders, which was bothering him all season.

The Pro Bowl tackle said he could not do a pushup before the procedure on his shoulders. He is healthy for the first time all season.

“I’m going to play blocks better, play with my hands more,” Carter said this week.

A.J. Brown (teeth) and Landon Dickerson (illness) both returned to practice on Friday after missing time earlier in the week and are also good to go. Brown was not practicing after getting his wisdom teeth removed. I hope he drank a good amount of pineapple juice.

Josh Allen (foot) was limited a couple of days this week but was a full participant on Friday and does not have a game designation.

Here is the Eagles’ injury report ahead of Week 17:

OUT: RT Lane Johnson (foot), LB Nakobe Dean (hamstring)

QUESTIONABLE: OT Cameron Williams (shoulder)

For the Bills:

OUT: S Jordan Poyer (hamstring), DT DaQuan Jones (calf), DT Jordan Phillips (ankle), K Matt Prater (right quad)

QUESTIONABLE: TE Dalton Kincaid (knee), TE Dawson Knox (knee)
