The Eagles were set to hold their second and final public training camp practice at Lincoln Financial Field Sunday night. Due to a rainy forecast, however, the event has been cancelled.
Official statement from the team:
“Out of concern for the safety of the fans and the team, the Eagles have canceled tonight’s public practice at Lincoln Financial Field due to the inclement weather forecast as a result of Hurricane Henri. Ticketmaster will provide refunds for fans who purchased tickets. Tonight’s public practice served as a fundraiser for the Eagles Autism Foundation, where all of the proceeds from ticket sales would be invested in helping families with autism through innovative research projects and grants. Please visit EaglesAustimFoundation.org to help turn autism awareness into action.
Bummer. This was the last chance for fans to see the Birds at the Linc before the regular season begins.
The good news, if you’ll consider it that, is that the Eagles will still practice today. They’re set to work out in their indoor space at the NovaCare Complex starting at 5:00pm ET. Some players will be available to reporters via videoconference starting at 3:45 PM before Nick Sirianni meets the media around 4:40 PM.
