What to watch as Phillies start new series against Brewers

After a disappointing series against the New York Mets, the 13-15 Philadelphia Phillies are set to face the 17-11 Milwaukee Brewers Monday night at Citizens Bank Park.
Here’s what to watch:
Harper, McCutchen, and Hoskins out of the lineup
The Phillies will be without three major peaces in their lineup.
Starting with Bryce Harper, his wrist is hurting again, but it might not have happened on a swing. Doctors evaluated him earlier today. The Phillies are hoping it isn’t IL situation.
Andrew McCutchen is out of the lineup as well. Manager Joe Girardi said pregame that they wanted to get McCutchen’s eyes examined after he said he had trouble tracking a few line drives.
Finally, no one knows the real reason why Rhys Hoskins is out. It might have something to do when he was frustrated after not making a play Sunday night and allowed Jonathon Villar to score to give the Mets the lead.
The Phillies will have Jean Segura and Ronald Torreyes go out on minor-league rehab assignments this week, they announced Monday. And with Segura getting closer, Girardi acknowledged there is increased talk about trying Nick Maton in center field.
Velasquez starts
Phillies starter Vince Velasquez will make his third consecutive start since Matt Moore has been added to the COVID IL.
Velasquez has a 5.40 ERA in his first two starts of the season.
